Do not swap board to save a penny
Single wall is described as strong, affordable and versatile. That is the board most repeat cartons use. Double wall is the stronger board, made in the UK, for heavy, valuable or fragile goods.
A Packaging Wholesale desk that has always reordered single wall should stay on it until the goods change. A larger single wall carton is not a stronger one.
Size first
Measure the goods before the next standing order. Too much empty space means more fill every week. Walls that press on the product mean the size is wrong, on either board.
